The rate is 6% for most categories. Selected jewelry subcategories and Pre-Owned items pay 5%. How much does TikTok Shop charge in 2026?
TikTok Shop US charges a referral fee of 6% for most categories, in effect since April 1, 2024. It is an all-in platform fee — there is no separate payment-processing fee. A rumoured rise to 8% has no official confirmation; the latest official Seller Center fee page (dated May 2025) still shows 6%. Figures on this page were verified Oct 2026 against that official page.
What is the TikTok Shop referral fee charged on?
The official formula is: referral fee = rate x (customer payment + platform discount - tax). The customer payment includes the shipping the buyer pays. This calculator simplifies the base to item price + shipping charged, so small platform discounts and tax effects are not included.
Which TikTok Shop categories pay 5% instead of 6%?
Since October 31, 2024, selected jewelry subcategories — Diamond, Gold, Jade, Platinum/Carat Gold, and Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald — and all Pre-Owned categories pay 5%. For Pre-Owned, the portion of a single sale above $10,000 is charged at 3%; that tier is not modelled here.
What is the TikTok Shop refund administration fee?
