Every Etsy fee, in one table

Etsy stacks three fees on a typical US sale — listing, transaction and payment processing — plus a fourth, Offsite Ads, when an ad drove the sale. Rates below are for US sellers and were verified against Etsy's official help pages in October 2026.

FeeRateCharged onNotes
Listing fee$0.20 per listingEach listing you publishCharged on publish whether the item sells or not. A listing lasts 4 months; auto-renewal, re-listing after a sale, and each additional unit sold on a multi-quantity listing each incur another $0.20.
Transaction fee6.5%Item price + shipping charged + gift wrapCharged on the total amount for the order: the item price, the shipping you charge the buyer, and any gift-wrap charge.
Payment processing (Etsy Payments, US)3% + $0.25Total sale amount, incl. shipping charged and applicable sales taxThe rate for sellers whose bank account is in the US. Etsy Payments rates differ by bank-account country — check the official table for yours.
Offsite Ads fee — shops under $10,00015%Order total attributed to the adOnly on sales attributed to an Offsite Ad click within 30 days. Shops with under $10,000 in trailing-365-day revenue pay 15% and may opt out.
Offsite Ads fee — shops at $10,000 or more12%Order total attributed to the adMandatory once a shop reaches $10,000 in trailing-365-day revenue. The Offsite Ads fee is capped at $100 per order.
Regulatory operating fee (US)Not charged—Etsy charges a regulatory operating fee only in listed countries (for example Canada 0.50%, United Kingdom 0.48%, France 1.14%). US sellers do not pay it.

How the fees stack

Total charged = item price + shipping charged to buyer
Transaction fee = 6.5% × total charged
Payment processing (US) = 3% × total charged + $0.25
Listing fee = $0.20 per item sold

Both the transaction fee and US payment processing are charged on the shipping you charge the buyer as well as the item price — that is why two listings for the same item, one with shipping priced in and one with shipping charged separately, do not cost the same in fees once your real shipping cost is counted.

How we verify & limitations

Rates on SellKitHub live in one central data file. Each rate carries its official source and was last verified in October 2026; the whole schedule is re-verified quarterly, and any change is recorded in our fee change log. Not included anywhere on SellKitHub: the regulatory operating fee charged in some other countries, VAT on Etsy fees outside the US, and currency-conversion fees.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Etsy charge per sale in 2026?

For a US seller: a $0.20 listing fee, a 6.5% transaction fee on the item price plus shipping charged (and gift wrap), and payment processing of 3% + $0.25 on the total sale amount. If the sale came from an Offsite Ad, add 15% (shops under $10,000 in trailing-365-day revenue) or 12% (shops at $10,000 or more), capped at $100 per order.

Does Etsy charge its fees on shipping?

Yes. The 6.5% transaction fee applies to the item price plus the shipping you charge the buyer (plus gift wrap), and US payment processing is calculated on the total sale amount including shipping charged and applicable sales tax.

Do US sellers pay Etsy's regulatory operating fee?

No. Etsy does not charge a regulatory operating fee in the US. It applies only in listed countries — for example Canada (0.50%), the United Kingdom (0.48%) and France (1.14%) — where it is charged on the item price plus shipping and gift wrap.

When does the Offsite Ads fee apply?

Only when a buyer clicked an Offsite Ad (for example a Google Shopping ad run by Etsy) and bought from your shop within 30 days of the click. Shops under $10,000 in trailing-365-day revenue are charged 15% and can opt out; shops at $10,000 or more are charged 12%, cannot opt out, and the fee is capped at $100 per order.
